A hardwood installation is only as good as what happens before the first board goes down. We assess the subfloor for flatness, moisture and squeaks, and we let the wood acclimatize to your home before installation so it behaves predictably after.
During the install, we plan board direction and layout around sight lines, doorways and stairs — the details that decide whether a floor looks custom or rushed. Transitions, vents and trim are finished cleanly, not left as an afterthought.
Solid hardwood and where it fits
Solid hardwood is ideal above grade — living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and stairs. For basements or over concrete, we usually recommend engineered hardwood, and we will tell you honestly which suits your space.

How long does a hardwood installation take?
Most single-floor installations take between two and five working days, depending on square footage, subfloor condition and how much preparation is needed. Your written estimate includes a realistic schedule for your specific project.
Do you remove the old flooring?
Yes. Removal and disposal of existing flooring can be included in your estimate. Let us know what is currently down — carpet, laminate, tile or older hardwood — and we will plan for it.
Does the wood need to sit in my home first?
Usually, yes. Solid hardwood should acclimatize to your home’s temperature and humidity before installation. We build this step into the project schedule so it never causes surprises.
