Common questions
Do I need to leave my home during refinishing?
Many clients stay elsewhere for the finishing days, mainly because of finish odour and because the floors cannot be walked on while coats cure. Waterborne finishes have lower odour and faster cure times. We plan the schedule with you so you know exactly which days matter.
How long before furniture can go back?
Light foot traffic is typically possible within a day or two of the final coat, with furniture returning after several days and rugs waiting a couple of weeks. The exact timing depends on the finish used — your estimate spells it out.
Can you change the colour of my floors?
Yes. Refinishing is the moment to change colour. We apply stain samples directly on your sanded floor — not on a brochure — so you approve the real result before we commit.
